Workers at BorgWarner poised to strike Sunday after voting down contract offer
September 9, 2024 // BorgWarner employs around 1,000 workers in Tompkins County. It is the fifth largest employer in the county, and the largest for-profit private employer. The company operates around 90 other other facilities in over 20 countries. The union said that BorgWarner has “taken the role of backing American workers into a corner,” and criticized the company for expanding operations abroad, like in Mexico
