David Keeling: Nominated
David Keeling has been nominated to serve as the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health. He previously served as Vice President of Global Health and Safety at UPS from 2018 to 2021 and as Director of Global Road and Transportation Safety at Amazon from 2021 to 2023. Keeling began his career as a member of the Teamsters union at UPS in 1985. If confirmed, he will lead the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), focusing on workplace safety and health standards.
Nomination Status: On October 7, 2025, the U.S. Senate confirmed David Keeling as the Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) by a party-line vote of 51–47. Keeling’s nomination was considered by the Senate as part of a package of 107 nominations.
