Johnathan Berry is the nominee for the position of Solicitor of the Department of Labor (DOL). The Solicitor of Labor is responsible for overseeing the legal affairs of the DOL, providing legal advice and representation, and ensuring that labor laws are enforced effectively. He previously served as the acting and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy at the Department of Labor during the first Trump administration.
Nomination Status: On October 7, 2025, the U.S. Senate confirmed Jonathan Berry as the Solicitor of Labor by a party-line vote of 51–47. Berry’s nomination was considered by the Senate as part of a package of 107 nominations.
