Victory for Ohio Teachers
September 23, 2025 // With help from the Center for Independent Employees, teachers in the Continental School District secured an election— and the Ohio Education Association (OEA), a National Education Association (NEA) affiliate, withdrew rather than face an overwhelming defeat. This marks CIE’s first OEA removal in Ohio and our 43rd removal of national teachers' union affiliates nationwide.
