Electrical Workers Successfully Defeat Illegal IBEW Union Strike Fines with National Right to Work Legal Aid
November 2, 2026 // An Oklahoma electrical worker has prevailed in a legal fight against retaliatory strike fines issued by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 584 officials. Joey Blankenship-Scott, of the Brent Electric Company, Inc., won the victory with free legal representation from National Right to Work Foundation staff attorneys. When IBEW Local 584 union bosses ordered a strike in June 2024, Blankenship-Scott and two coworkers exercised their legal right to resign from the union and return to work.
