Colorado ski unions emboldened after ski patroller strike in Utah

Breckenridge patroller contracts are up for negotiation this April, Dineen said. While not explicitly in connection with this CBS New Colorado story, Keystone's vice president provided a statement during their contract negotiations with patrollers.
Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE:MTN) faces new demands from four ski patrol unions
January 2, 2025 // The Keystone Ski Patrol (KSP) conducted its first collective action movement on December 18, 2024 since unionizing last season. Negotiations with Vail Resorts began in September with slow progress. KSP organized a collective action walk-in to demonstrate solidarity and the patrol’s ability to mobilize. This came during the same time where Park City Ski Patrol voted to authorize a strike against Vail Resorts for failing to engage in fair negotiations.
Eldora Mountain Resort ski patrollers, medics will vote on whether to unionize
October 26, 2023 // To win their election, Eldora workers must get approval from at least half of the resort’s 40 patrollers and medics. Eldora staff will cast mail-in ballots over the next month, with results likely to come as the 2023/24 ski season kicks off. The National Labor Relations Board will count votes in late November. Monday’s vote was the first step of the process.
