    Eldora Mountain Resort ski patrollers, medics will vote on whether to unionize

    October 26, 2023 // To win their election, Eldora workers must get approval from at least half of the resort’s 40 patrollers and medics. Eldora staff will cast mail-in ballots over the next month, with results likely to come as the 2023/24 ski season kicks off. The National Labor Relations Board will count votes in late November. Monday’s vote was the first step of the process.

    Loveland Ski Area Patrollers & Paramedics Unionize

    April 20, 2023 // KVDR reports more than 70% of patrollers and paramedics at Loveland Ski Area signed the petition to unionize which was submitted on February 14th. The results were finalized last Friday, April 14th. Loveland ski patroller Kevin Donaldson has been instrumental in the organizing the push and wants the union to address issues better benefits, workplace safety and of course, higher wages.

    Park City Mountain mechanics, electricians followed path to union

    November 28, 2022 // When Park City Mountain lift mechanics and electricians voted Tuesday to unionize, they embarked on the same path taken by ski patrollers at their resort and others in the western United States, to negotiate for better wages and working conditions through collective bargaining. In a 35-6 vote, the workers became what are believed to be the first unionized ski resort mechanics in the country. The election was conducted by the National Labor Relations Board, with voting taking place Monday and Tuesday.
